Palm tree or the tree of life is one of the most widely used trees on the planet. They may look simple but they are actually very useful. In fact, palm trees can produce a lot of finished products. Its body can be used in building houses. Its fruits can be sell and became a source of income. Even its leaves can be used as brooms and can be sell in the local market. Now, there are also different kinds of palm trees that can be used in commercial growing operations.

Everything on the tree- even some leaves are re-used in some way shape or form.

Fruit

Palm trees can produce a large number of fruits. The highly productive palm is used in many ways. But others use various types of palm tree fruit like oil, bio diesel, jelly, wax, palm heart salad and wine.

Leaves

Aside from that, you can’t imagine palm trees without a large number of leaves in a tree. Its leaves can be used as roof housing and beach cottage for relaxing. Many different leaves can also use in weaving everything from furniture, decorations and native mats. These materials are the best spot for picture taking and reminiscing.

Wax

Moreover, the fruit of palm trees can be used to make scented candles. Fortunately, there are different colors of scented candles mixed with other aromatic materials.

Wood palm tree uses

There are many cultures that use wood palm trees for decorations and excellent flooring and siding. The wood is hard once dried. People from native areas can use wood palm trees as walls for their heritage.

Mango Planting Manual

Generally, trees have many functions in a farming system. Trees contribute directly to food, communities and through supply of fruits, vegetables, starch and etc. Honestly, trees in the environment contribute a lot of sustainable food production and improving the soil of the surrounding. In rural communities, trees are the source of firewood to the farmers and it provides available materials for production.

Fruit trees like mango trees have more direct use to people for food and nutrition. In fact, fruits are rich in vitamins, proteins, essential oils and energy which play an important role in the nutrition of people, especially to the youth and young children. As such, mango fruit is a rich source of vitamin A, C and B6 which mainly enhance the immune system of human bodies.

However, the communications of farmers to the process are limited due to a lack of knowledge and skills. The majority of the farmers lack basic skills on fruit tree planting including planning, proper timing and techniques. Now, it is important to know some basic steps in planting mango trees which is so much helpful to farmers not only to farmers but also to those future businessmen in the field of a farming system.

Mango: Quick and easy way to grow a beautiful mango tree from any store-bought mango.

Step: 1

Mango fruit : Start by removing as much flesh as possible without damaging the seed.

Step: 2

Mango seed: Now use the backside of your knife to scrape away the last fruit flesh. Dry the seed using a paper towel.

Step: 3

Seed husk: The next step is to break open the husk and remove the inner seed. If your seed husk is not already cracked. You can use a knife to carefully slice a small opening on the thinnest side of your mango seed.

Step: 4

Seed brown: Remove the protective paper around the seed.

Step: 5

Seed paper: Place the seed on a wet paper towel.

Step: 6

Mango towel: Fold the paper. Make sure it’s easy to open later.

Step: 7

Mango bag: Now put your wet paper towel inside a box or a plastic bag. Check once a week. Change the paper if any mold starts appearing. It usually takes about 1-2 weeks for the germination process to start.

Step: 8

Mango sprout: When your seed has germinated and has formed a 2 cm or bigger root. Then it’s ready to be planted.

Step: 9

Mango Germination: When placing a seed in the ground always think of how they would land in nature. In this case, the mango seed would fall on its side. So place the seed on its side, with the root at the center of your pot. Now, cover it up with about 2 cm of soil.

Step: 10

Mango Tree: After a few weeks your mango tree should be ready to be planted outside. Only plant your tree outside if you have warm winters. The temperature has to be at least above freezing at all times. If you decide to keep your tree inside. Make sure you change the potting container and soil when the tree grows bigger. I recommend you to report your mango tree at least once every year.

Bringing the Improvement

One of the most attractive periods of time in the Philippines is the summer season. Mostly Filipinos are very excited when it comes to summer vacation. They are likely want to swim in the pool, river or falls and others want to travel in the mountain riding a motorcycle and capturing the view of nature.

To have a wide adventure and discovery, they should keep on going but the problem most of travelers and bloggers is the rocky road moving upward in Sitio Langan.

To provide solution to roadway problem, the barangay captain in Coronon Capt. Pablito Lim mentioned that there is a budget provided for the improvement and development of roadway in Sitio Langan. He also stated that high-rank politicians are able to sponsor for the road widening in the area.

As of this year, the progress of the roadway continue to become better until this 2019 the project of road widening established successfully.

Mercedes “Didi” Cagas sponsored the development of the roadway in Sitio Langan to Kibarangan worth of PHP 50,000,000.00. The profit used to provide a bundle sack of cement, equipment and for the labor.

Now, people in Sitio Langan are very happy. Travelers and bloggers easily ride their motorcycles to discover new areas and nature spots. Mostly bloggers travel to Mt. Loay in Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur and going to end-base in Sitio Langan where there are so many motorcycles to ride down the hill.
